The car is actually a good one, but at 114000 miles, you really do not want to buy another car because it gets too expensive to fix your current one. So yeah, I would finger the engine in this case. I am not sure about the reliability of Mazda engines from that year, but there you go. I really did like the car otherwise and am actually considering buying another Mazda.
