I was driving around 70mph on the Highway in 60 degree weather. All of a sudden, there was a huge explosion and glass fell all over me into the vehicle. Luckily, I was the only passenger. I swerved but was able to regain control of the vehicle without hitting anyone else. I got a bunch of cuts on my face and scalp. The outside of the car was peppered with gouges from the flying glass. I pay very close attention to my vehicle and know for a fact that there were no cracks starting on the glass. There was also nothing to suggest that something hit my vehicle from above to cause this type of glass breakage. BMW was called and BMW refused to help and claimed that this type of failure is acceptable.
