CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 has an early trend of the transmission shifting hard, surging & jerking.

At the moment these trucks are still under warranty. However this transmission problem shows up right away with the average reported mileage only around 3,000 miles, so for now the 2017 Silverado earns our "Beware of the Clunker" badge.

While turning left at an intersection, the steering wheel locked up. Had to brake, then tried again. It's still locked up. I braked again. Then it released. Thank God I had a left-turn green light, otherwise this could have resulted in a serious accident. I've seen many other complaints about this power steering problem on 2017 Silverados that resulted in accidents and injuries. Why is Chevy not recalling this issue?? I will be taking mine to a Chevy dealership to have this looked at.
