I bought a Ford Kuga Ecosport Titanium 1600 from a Ford Dealer on 12 April 2014. According the specifications the Kuga's fuel consumption should be at least on average 7.7 Liters per 100 Kilometers. To me it was quite a surprize that the car gives me on average 13.30 liters per 100 kilometers (7.51 kilo`s per liter)
I took the car to the local Ford dealer and they reprogrammed it. With much hope that it will have a better fuel consumption, it stayed the same. I contacted the Ford dealer and was told everything is electronic and if there was a problem the computer would have shown it, but the computer does not show any faults. They said that with the first service on 20 000 kilometers it would probably be leaner on fuel.
I need advice from someone that had the same problem which was dealt with, could it perhaps be the turbo, etc. It seems that Ford does not have an answer for me and with the current fuel price this is a huge problem. I bought the car to go on pension but could rather bought a V8 with this fuel consumption.
Thank you
