CarComplaints.com Notes: The top problem trend for the 2014 Escape is transmission failure at around 70k miles.
This is relatively low mileage for an expensive transmission failure ($4,500 average to fix), but unless the trend becomes more established, we are only awarding the 2014 Escape our "Beware of the Clunker" badge for now.

I am having to add coolant in the reservoir. There is a indicator on the dashboard states coolant low. I don't know where the coolant is going. They're no visible leaks. I have not had a recall for this matter.
An article in car complains read "Recalled are 2014 Ford Escape. They can overheat due to lack of antifreeze. Lack of coolant circulation could cause the engine to overheat and experience a crack in the cylinder head. A cracked head can cause pressurized oil leaks, oil that can leak onto hot engines. There have been reported fires."
