I have called Ford regarding this issue many times. I left it there for weeks for the service guys to drive and check out. The SUV stops in traffic. The wrench pops up on the left screen and when I hit OK, the screen says the AWD has stopped. I have to try to steer and roll off the road, put it in park and restart the engine. Then it will run fine for a day or so before it happens again. Ford says they cannot find anything wrong when running the diagnostics for codes. So there is nothing to do about it. I have read that this has happened to 1.6m people so far. Wouldn't you think Ford would recognize that this is a problem by now???
