My wife, daughter and two of her friends were driving home after school when the car lost power. She pulled over to the side of the road then put the car in park and restarted it. She made it home safe.
I just got back from the Ford dealership. I dropped it off and they acted like they've never heard of this happening before. I told them that I googled what happened and it seems to be a common complaint. They said that they would look into it. I told them that this needs to be fixed because this problem can be extremely dangerous if the car was to lose all power on the freeway. I will be in touch with the corporate office tomorrow and will make sure that my complaint is filed and that I have it in writing. God forbid this happens to a family while on a busy freeway. Ford need to recall all explorers before something serious happens!
