Affected Component: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
- Summary
- Some 2016 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 5.0L engine and built on 13-Jan-2016 and through 16-Jul-2016 may exhibit an audible knock noise from the engine only after the engine is at normal operating temperature and between 1500 and 2500 engine RPMs If cylinder #5 is canceled and the noise is no longer present, consider the noise a characteristic and do not attempt any repairs. Engineering has determined there are no long term durability concerns.
