First time around left engine head cracked at weak point apparently designed to fail. New Jasper engine installed and run for another 36K miles when same problem occurred. Truck is in the shop now to determine if the head cracked at the same place or if some other error allows coolant into number 4 cylinder combustion chamber.
i have instructed the garage to find a head that is not processed through the Ford replacement parts system as I expect any Ford system head will fail again due to planned obsolescence; in my opinion. I will find out exactly how the coolant is getting into the combustion chamber monday june 6 2016 when the garage pulls the head.
New Jasper engine is out of warranty window only nine months.
I went to a different garage for this repair work second time around as I was informed the prior garage overcharged to put the new engine in.
