The car I have, 2015 Kia Optima, I purchased as certified pre-owned at 3 years old. It had about 36000 miles on it. It doesn't even have 90k miles on it and the engine has locked up. No check engine light, no other warning lights, and I maintenance it as scheduled/ suggested. I don't mess around with oil changes or maintenance. With the low miles and age of this vehicle, it SHOULD NOT have a locked-up engine. I am reading the warranty for the powertrain since Kia brags about their warranty of 10 years but if you read the fine print and you are NOT the original owner, you only get 5 years or 60k miles. Well, I haven't owned the car for 60k miles, but I can tell you, reading all of the other complaints about engine and the amount of time to get it resolved.
I WILL NEVER WASTE ANOTHER DOLLAR ON ANOTHER KIA FOR AS LONG AS I LIVE. I WILL TELL ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN NOT TO WASTE THEIR MONEY ON A KIA ANYTHING. Even Chevys, Fords, Nissans, Hondas, Toyotas, Audis, etc last longer than this. Guess we will see what the crappy Kia dealership or Kia HQ says regarding any engine warranty. NEVER AGAIN!!
