While driving on the interstate, or on highways at 45-65 mph, an after coasting or braking, the transmission will not engage when accelerating to resume speed. It will eventually catch, but sometimes it takes long enough to delay other traffic behind me. I have noticed that it does not occur when the transmission is in manual mode. It occurs mostly in ECO mode, but I did observe it once when not in ECO.
I don't know if it is low on transmission fluid. There are no leaks, and I did change the fluid shortly after purchase by replacing the same amount that was drained. There is no dipstick for the transmission on these cars. There is a plug at the front of the transmission pan that requires removal of the plastic deflector below the engine. The fluid has to be checked with the engine running, and I assume at operating temperature like most all auto transmissions. If fluid comes out of the hole, it has enough. If not, add some until it does, similar to differentials and transfer cases. What a pain for a DIYer.
