Grinding while driving forward, inability to drive in reverse. Took the car to my long-trusted independent mechanic. He tells me my rear differential is dead. Apparently, when the vehicle was sold to me, the read LSD was missing 3 gear teeth. NICE! Through my driving it for a few months, 3 more gear teeth were worn almost all the way down. Chances are the dealership didn't include the rear LSD in their standard checks. Regardless, I got a USED part for $2,300 BEFORE TAX AND LABOR.
