Bought the car new in September 2013. Clutch just failed in August of 2016 at less than 60,000 Km. apparently NOT covered under warranty, despite the problem being well known to Mazda and the failure happening within the warranty period and distance limit.. There is a class action suit in the US for the Mazda 3 for early clutch failure, but there are fewer standard Mazda 5 owners, so I guess we haven't organized ourselves yet. Both Mazda dealers I approached blamed driver habits and said that it would not be covered.
