This came as a surprise. After very few mechanical problems, the steering got really scary one day. When we took it to our mechanic, they said the subframe was rotted out and the right wheel was able to be moved in and out of the subframe by hand. Eek! Two different shops (our usual mechanic and then a body shop) struggled to locate a replacement subframe. When they finally did and began taking the car apart, they realized that there was even more rot under the car than they anticipated. Bolts snapped off while being removed, and the body shop finally told us they thought we needed to scrap the car. With only 125,000 miles on the car, this is super disappointing.
