The Miata is a WONDERFUL car, save this problem- the seat belt will randomly release! You'll be driving down the road, and the seat belt will pop off! I've owned several Miatas, and they all eventually do this. It appears to be an issue of wear/debris in the belt receiver. A small problem- unless you were to crash!@ Fitting a newer/better belt resolves the issue.
