Ahh, where to begin, the list is long. Drove the GLA 250 about 250 miles to visit family for Christmas. Almost immediately after arriving (lucky, I guess), the transmission failed. Called Mercedes roadside assistance who told us to have it towed to the nearest dealership (50 miles in the other direction from where I live). Flatbed showed up and took the car to the dealership in Syracuse, NY. Now, almost 2 weeks later, the GLA is still in pieces in Syracuse and I'm in NJ with no car. Was just told today that the dealer doesn't know when it will be repaired because the one person they have who can work on it is out sick. Oh, but it doesn't end there. Mercedes has refused to give us a loaner because the car wasn't towed to the dealer where the car was purchased, even though they advised us to tow it to the nearest dealer. So, 2 weeks no car, zero help from Mercedes, zero help from the dealer where we bought the car (Prestige Mercedes in Paramus, NJ. Avoid them at all costs) and the Syracuse dealer (Romano Mercedes) can't fix it because one person is out sick. I took a gamble on Mercedes, knowing their reputation for reliability (or lack thereof) and I lost. That's on me, but I am surprised by the complete lack of support from company and the two dealerships. Things break, but to be treated the way we have been is beyond belief. To anyone who reads this and is considering buying a Mercedes, DO NOT. I'm sure the cars are good when they run, but the company doesn't stand behind their products and butchers the idea of customer service.
