I have done research on several different websites and found the problem. It seems my timing chain is making a clattering noise during deceleration. It is said to be because of the VVT system. I read the solution is replace timing chain and gears.
With the cam & lifter issue the best route would be to do a complete rebuild. I CAN NOT BELIEVE I will have to rebuild my engine at 150,000 miles.
My 1998 Ram had 196,000 miles when I bought this 2014. A complete let down.
