- Water Pump For JK Bodies ONLY: If replacing the water pump for a chirp, squeal or NVH, please contact either: Nick Morand cell: (248) 410-5078 nick.morand@fcagroup.com Joe Lovell cell: (734) 309-6467 joe.lovell@fcagroup.com Engineering is seeking audio recordings of the concern in an effort to root cause and make necessary improvements to future pumps. Please email any audio recording or documentation of when/where/how the pump makes noise to the above emails. If the dealer is located in the Detroit Metro Area, Engineering may send a representative to review with technician. Any information is appreciated. If a response is not received within 15 mins , then proceed with the necessary repair. For JK and DS: Before replacing water pumps for noise issues the heat shield on the catalytic converter needs to be checked to make sure it is not the source of the noise. Check while the engine is fully warmed up. If the heat shield is found to be the source of the noise tighten the bolts and, or add shims/washers as needed.
