I have two 4Runners, one is a 1992 and the other is a 2001 both SR5 trim. The bumpers on the '92 are fine and the rear bumper on the '01 is rusting through. The '01 is my commuter vehicle and the '92 is the one that goes in the woods. Seems this is a chronic problem for Toyota, better planned obsolescence. I will probably remedy with an aftermarket bumper & will not go to Toyota for the part.
