This V50, I would say not too many on the road as I see. It is a station wagon, small, compact, can carry 5 SMALL SIZE passengers (under 200 lbs please). I had 2 times alignments in its current 120000 miles. First time was a few months after delivery when it was broken into by a thief to steal my portable GPS. The second time was around 100000 miles. During the second times the alignment tech told me it CANNOT be aligned, the back wheels due to a bend of the frame. Heck, I did not even have a single accident, how can the frame be bent?

Call to the Volvo service dealer, he said I might run into a bad pothole. What do you mean BAD potholes? I had not ran it into any hole that butt off my rear from the seat. Anyway, I figured it cost $$$!!! to fix the frame so I ask the tech what else could he do to fix. "JUST DRIVE IT!!" and I do just that since. By the way, the joint boot broke about 100000 too. It cost $500 FOR JUST PART.

OK here is positive. The car is smooth, compact, composed feeling, quiet. It tows a boat on trailer easily even on uphill road WITH 5 passengers inside, just make sure your towing load is LESS than 1000 lbs.

I have had no other problems other than general maintenance: changing battery, oil after 7000 miles, belts, brake pads, transmission fluid, flush antifreeze, etc.

Over all, happy with it.....
