Well my air bag sensor, my psa light and my tpsa light is on. All dealing with faulty sensors and electrical issues. And my air bag sensor will come on once in awhile, saying it's off. And from the Acura TL community 2003 to 2006 have horrible transmissions. Everybody I know and talk to that have a TL that falls into those years, have had their transmissions either rebuilt or replaced. And nobody ever talks about it. I want to make it known that these vehicles have one of the worst transmissions other than the Honda oddessy but Honda has a recall on there transmissions. So hopefully one day Acura can do the same.

The car suddenly started to slow down. The gears started engaging and disengaging. Next day the autozone shop used the scanner and found codesp0722-P0780 the cuuse of ca problem. The car runs for a few minutes and then dies, after cooling period of about 2-4 minutes it starts runs for about 6-8 minutes and dies again. Three days ago the transmission repair shop also took on highway and had the same problem. He then tried to use the scanner to get the codes and. The scanner would not read anything. Thus at his advice I have to replace with new reman transmission coding about $4,650. In addition the dashboard showed tears the last summer. Called Acura and the said they had no recall on Acura TL 2006 car and also about tearing of dash board.

The other day I picked up my twins from daycare at rush hour after work, proceeded to get on the highway where suddenly my tsa & engine lights come on, my car goes limp and we were in a very near-miss accident situation. I try to keep my calm as my children are keenly aware that something is wrong. I look at the dash, I look at the cars coming from the back and side, and I slowly creep along and immediately put my hazards on. Now I have to get myself from the left lane and maneuver in to the right with people coming up that can't yet see my distress signal. Fortunately, it was in fact a near-miss, and I was able to pull out of the driving lanes, stop my car, turn it off, and call my husband for help. I found that this exact situation has happened to many customers. Surely, there must be a recall on this accelerator pedal position sensor (app sensor). I call my new home's nearest dealership (libertyville il ) to ask about any recalls on my VIN, and to additionally check about recalls on the app sensor. Nothing. This, however, has been repeatedly reported to you by many people over the years, and today I am reporting it again. Libertyville il certified Acura dealership confirmed it was a sensor failure. In fact, when I spoke with [xxx] at the libertyville il location, I expressed my sincere feelings about the situation and how I could not understand how this is not a recall item. In his attempt to make me feel better he said, look, this is such a rare thing. In my 15+ years in this business, you're only the 4th case I have personally had.' Instead of reassuring me, this infuriated me. One mechanic 'turned-service manager alone has had four of these death trap sensors" seriously, I have to ask, how many reported incidents does it take" information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

My car battery kept dying every 3 months, I even got a new battery and my car was still dying. I was stranded at the bank in a parking lot, my driveway, and at work. After it died again and wouldn't start with a new battery I called the dealership. They stated it is my blue tooth, which hadn't been working, that is draining my battery and they have seen it in my model and year. I had to pay $100 to have it disconnected and they want to charge me $400 to have it replaced. I replaced it and now they wont reimburse me. This should be a recall and it is a safety issue being stranded with your car not starting. I have a baby that is not ok with me to wonder if my car will start. Please help Acura needs to be accountable for this faulty part and the safety of people driving their cars.
