The dash is prematurly cracking causing pieces to become potential projectiles if involved in an accident and the airbag deploys. The cracks may possibly also cause the airbag to not properly deploy. Also the powersteering pump is leaking fluid severely. There was a recall issued for every 2007 and 2008 TL, but specifically excluded the type S which is now showing the same symptoms and possible fire risk due to the leaks. The car also has premature wear on the motor mounts and now beeds motor mounts replaced.

Power steering leak. Power steering fluid is leaking from where the hose and inlet tube meet. The fluid is leaking down into various parts of the engine. The fluid continues to leak out and run low, which then needs replaced. Issue is a fire hazard, and burning of leaking fluid can routinely be smelled. A recall has already be issued B Acura. My vehicle corresponds with the model and year of the recall, has the exact issue of the recall, but is not listed under as an affected vehicle through a VIN search.

I currently own a 2007 Acura TL and my power steering consistently goes in and out. It is extremely difficult to steer when traveling at slow speeds, such as in a parking lot. My vehicle's VIN doesn't show that the power steering recall associated with many 2004-2008 Acura Tls affects my car, however I believe that may be the reason my power steering doesn't work very well at all. I recently had my car inspected at bianchi Honda in erie, pa for my annual inspection and they said that the only way to fix the issue that I'm having with my power steering is to replace the power steering hose etc. Can you please let me know if my car's power steering problem can be fixed? thank you. Sincerely, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

NHTSA recalls 12V-222 and 08V-091 were enacted to address safety concerns about the power steering pump and associated hoses for certain 2007-2008 Acura Tls. For some reason, my VIN is not included in the recalls. However, I am experiencing the same symptoms as described by both recalls. So I have questioned Acura as to why my vehicle was not addressed as part of the recall but I have received no satisfactory answer other than to point out that my vehicle is outside of the warranty period and therefore the responsibility of the owner.

I was driving to the store today and as I drive into the lot my steering wheel started making a buzzing, whining sound, I popped the hood to find that the power steering hose was leaking a lot of fluid. After I parked the car the fluid was leaking a lot more and drippun all over the catalytic converter, engine, axles. I've already spent over $250 replacing it at Firestone before I found out the car has a recall for the exact same issue and part. It is a used car.

After the voluntary recall for the power steering pump hose to be repaired, the power steering pump began leaking. The dealer will not fix or repair the damage they caused to the pump.

The contact owns a 2007 Acura TL. The contact stated that smoke started to emit from the engine compartment. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the high pressure power steering hose was leaking over the catalytic converter. As a result, the power steering hose needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who did not offer any assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 63,800 and the current mileage was 64,000.

The main power steering hose developed a leak. I own a type S model and according to the local dealership the recall does not apply to my vehicle. This is odd do to the fact that my hose deteriorated in the same manner described in the recall. Many other 2007 and 2008tl type S owners reported the same problem. The new hose installed has a heat shield in the area affected. Obviously they are aware of the problem. Heat caused by the engine near the hose is causing the deterioration. I understand that this also a fire hazard. This was reported online and by the service rep at the dealership. I think that this should be enough to include my model car as part of the recall.

Power steering leak causing smoking, & squeaking along with difficult steering. There is a current recall on 2007 Acura TL but american Honda says it does not apply to the S-type. Not true, myself & several other TL-type S owners have had the same problem. If this leads to a fire, I will seek punitive damages against all parties who fail to address this high priority safety recall.

I was at the dealership to get my car service and found out that my power steering hose is leaking which in 2004 -2008 Acura TL recall but since I have 2007 Acura TL type S it is not under recall. Well it seems like my hose deteriorated and got worn out after 63,000 miles and now there is a leak which could potential cause major damage and lead to a fire. Dealer is telling me its not under recall when it happens to be the exact same hose pipe.
