Driving to work 3/19/20 at 7:15am. The sunroof shattered. The shade was open and glass shards covered my wife and the inside of the car. There were no vehicles within a 1/4 mile. There were no bridges she drove under within a mile. I called and spoke to the local Acura dealership asking if there was a campaign or recall or if this was a known issue. I was told to contact a collision center to get fixed as there was no warranty. I asked to speak with the service manager and have not heard back as of yet.

While driving the car in bright sunlight there is a clare reflection from the drivers and passenger's dashboard vents that reflects strongly on the interior side window right where the left and right side view mirrors are located. The glare can be very strong on sunny days that it makes it difficult to discern if a vehicle really is in the side view mirrors. This glare comes from the chrome vents outline. This is a systemic problem as I've driven three different 2016 Tlx all with the same issue. I have reported this issue to the Acura dealer where I bought it. They claim this is the first they knew about it. I asked them to present it to a regional manger for resolution. Interestingly Acura parts manuals have a black outlet vent (pn 77610tz3A01za) but none of the 2016 Tlx can be bought with a black outlet vent. I hope that this new part number is available to settle these significant safety complaints. This has been a problem on sunny days for the six months we have had the car. The only way to remove the glare is to have both front windows completely down.

Side view mirrors have a reflection of inside vents. This is very dangerous, when you have an obstructed view. Can cause serious accident. I could not see side view because of reflection.
