Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety. Notes: The 3rd generation A8 got off to a slow start. Really slow, like "limp home" slow thanks to leaking antifreeze frying the engine's control modules. Thankfully the problem was recalled in September 2016.

The contact owns a 2013 Audi A8L. The contact stated the brake pedal was installed too close to the side wall on the floor board. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer, who stated that was a manufacturer design with the brake pedal installation. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 300....updated 05/08/13 the consumer stated after further investigation with the dealer, it was determined that the spacing between the brake pedal and the footwell side wall was different between 2011 and 2013 model years. The loss of 3/4 of an inch is wat is causing the failure. Updated 05/30/2013
