Coolant reservoir cracks and leaks onto the engine splash shield, pooling it. You smell it through the vents if you don't have the closed air on. Then it happened again just recently. God damn car has so many plastic parts, its a ticking time bomb. I just replaced it, and barely drive the damn thing but 2000 miles a year. It gets so hot and heat sinks that it melts and weakens the hoses and parts. Not good German engineering at all. Even sh*tty American cars don't do this.

The radiator was spewing coolant everywhere. All coolant leaked out. The dealership said the reservoir was cracked. Dealer repairs was $800. My friend who has the same exact car has had cooling issues as well with hoses that can be very expensive, depending on if it is the pressurized or return.
