The failure also occurred when shifting into reverse, from first gear. The contact also stated that first gear and reverse were positioned very close to each other on the gear shifter, making it very easy to slip into the wrong gear. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was informed the vehicle was operating as designed. The vehicle was not repaired.
