Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. The air bag warning indicator and service transmission warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified and stated that there were no recalls addressing the failure and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 80,000.

The contact owns a 2005 BMW 545I. The contact stated that while braking, the transmission shifted and the vehicle abnormally accelerated barely missing a collision with a pedestrian. The contact stated the failure would occur intermittently when driving at speeds of 20-40 mph. The dealer advised there was a programming error that could be repaired, but the repair was not covered under the contact's warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 40,000 and the current mileage was 45,000.
