The contact owns a 2007 BMW 530I. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 35 mph, the vehicle shook and hesitated to accelerate. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing, who diagnosed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 175,000.
