Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2009 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that the third row rear passenger side seatbelt failed to retract and the seatbelt had to be cut. The contact mentioned that due to the failure the passenger sustained an abrasion across the chest. The vehicle was to be taken to an authorized dealer for inspection, diagnosis and repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 98,500.

The contact stated that the warning lights for the seat belt did not illuminate. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not been repaired. The failure mileage was 35,000. Updated 06/10/14 MA the consumer stated the side seat belt buckle was broken. When it was in the fold down position, it was difficult to raise it back into the sitting position. Updated 07/03/14
