Steering became stiff while driving and locked up once the car was parked. Could have locked while I was on the road. There was a message "power steering issue - contact service" or similar that appeared after the steering became stiff and before it locked up. The car is currently parked and waiting to be towed to a dealership for repair. 2014 Buick LaCrosse with 67,000 +/- miles and my last Buick purchase.

Our steering went out on Interstate 65 while traveling about 70 miles per hour. We were near an exit and I was able to pump my brakes and get off without causing an accident that could have caused a multiple pile-up, injuries and potential deaths. The problem was diagnosed and repaired by a GM Dealership. The car was towed directly for repair-€"no manufacturer (other than GM repair), police or insurance representative was involved. A message saying -€œPower steering assist needs service-€ appeared on the dash 5 to 8 seconds before the steering went out.

While driving to work going approximately 55mph in my 2014 Buick Lacrosse I lost all power steering. The stabilatrac indicator came along with a service ABS brake light. I was not able to set cruise control as well. I was able to make it to work and had to have the vehicle towed for safety reasons.

I was on the highway on the interior lane at 75 mph when all the sudden I got a audible and visual alarm indicating steering failure. I then got the same for stabiltrak failure. The steering assist was obviously gone immediately and the car started floating back and forth. I had my wife and 92 year old mother-in -law with me and it was misting heavily so I carefully continued to drive at a reduced speed. I took the car in and they said the steering was not getting electricity. Also, they said the passenger side rear wheel sensor went out which caused the back and forth motion. The car dealership wants to charge me $3400 for the repairs. I see that there were recalls on other GM products for the steering on similar models I.e. Cadillac etc. I found several instances online for Buick Lacrosse but for some reason not all were reported. I bought this certified vehicle May 2018 with 19,520 mi. Which is at around 42,500 mi. Now. I am very concerned about the safety of this product in the future and would like for N.H.T.S.a to take another look at this steering issue and why these two issues with the sensor and the steering occurring at the same time.

Bought car new. Original Goodyear Eagle LS2 tires with 5 belted radial including 2 steel belts. 3000 miles on car. Proper inflation. Speed 40 mph state road divided highway night, not turning. Heard rumbling high pitch sounds which I first thought was transmission, but was anti skid/ABS computer assisted braking. Car pulled sharply right, instrument panel showed right tire -0- psi. Complete tire failure sidewall & smoking. Tire material was totally disintegrated. Towed by aaa. GM dealership is assessing damage. Marked P235/50R18 97H 0216640.
