I was told by Buick, there are multiple issues with the instrument cluster. The problems range from the whole instrument panel saying Error, and not being able to see how fast you are going, to the individual parts ie the speedometer, the odometer, the tachometer and the rest of them going out one by one and coming back on when you hit a bump (or not) only to have another one go out a second or two later! I got a speeding ticket when this happened, and almost lost my job until I was able to convince my boss it was the car, and NOT my poor driving! I was given such wide ranging quotes to fix the problem, from $1800 to $3250. The cruise works most of the time, and I can compensate when the speedometer or the entire panel shuts off by using what cruise control I have. I can only hope when it goes out, the cruise will work or there are other cars on the road so I can follow them and hope they aren't speeding. I checked with a few salvage lots looking for the computer and instrument cluster, only to hear one guy on the phone half hardily cover up the mouthpiece and say "Hey boys! We're closin' up early! This guys got a Reatta!", and forced to listen to comments, something about Surf & Turf and pouring bottles of Dom over each others heads!...
