I was told by the mechanic who repaired the transmission that the part that failed in the transmission had been flagged by Buick as a known problem. He also informed me that the failed part was not due to anything I had done, it just happens to these cars. I want to know why GM didn't inform their customers of this problem in a more direct way, that could have help save a lot of people, a lot of money. I also now have a head gasket leak and the front diver side window has failed to work consistently. All of these problems have been reported by other customers, so I would have to assume this is a major issue, not just one time perfect storm of a car gone bad.

Thank God we bought an extended warranty! The second problem I had just 4 months after purchasing the car. I had to fight with the Buick dealer to get them to not charge me anything for the repair. I told them if they didn't I would go to the consumer reportor on our local AtlaNTA NEWS.... After much back and forth they did replace the transmission. but as I said in another post, I having the car 3 days and having to have the intake gasket replaced and then the transmission, then the computer, then the drivers window mechanism breaking, then now the intake gasket is having to be replaced again!!!!! Love the car when it is not giving problems, but..... too much trouble for me!

After months of the car sputtering and poor performance, numerous trips to the mechanic to no avail, A transmission sensor threw a service code. Because GM is completely stupid, the sensor is placed inside the transmission. $800.00 just to pull the transmission out and replace the $40.00 sensor, with no guarantee that this sensor will fix the problem. After finding nasty transmission fluid, the shop recommended a new transmission and a new torque converter. $1900 later, the damn car still sucks! No one can figure out this problem. Someone please steal this car from me!
