Leaking fluid (coolant). Fluid was mixing with transmission fluid.. caused all hoses to be replaced plus lower intake manifold gasket, radiator and associated parts.

Never had indication there was a problem. Engine ran fine. Found out only from spots on driveway from leak. Leak was BAD. No service light came on. Scary considering the fluid was getting ready to get into my engine and completely blow my engine.

Also had to replace oxygen sensor.

Pretty ridiculous for a car with only 76k miles on it.

Also has a TON of rust on it and lots of peeling paint.

Will never buy another Buick again. Probably GM altogether. Next car will be a Honda or Toyota. My dad worked for GM for 30+ years.. what a shame I don't feel safe in GM anymore.

This is time #2 replacing this gasket. They have to tear the whole engine apart and it's 800 bucks a pop. Just another problem with this car. I can't understand why I see so many of them on the road. Is mine just a lemon or are they all this bad.

Rendezvous CXL 3.4L

THIS IS THE SAME PROBLEM THAT EVERYONE ELSE HAS HAD THAT OWNS A GM WITH A 3.4L.. I DID READ THAT GM SETTLED A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT REGARDING THIS PROBLEM. THE GASKET FAILURE WAS BLAMED ON GM DEXCOOL ANTIFREEZE. GM PAID $50 TO $800 PER VEHICLE. HOWEVER, THE REPAIR HAD TO HAVE BEEN MADE BEFORE MAY 30, 2008 AND THE CLAIM HAD TO BE FILED BEFORE OCT 27, 2008.BUICK CUSTOMER SERVICE WANTED ME TO TAKE THE VEHICLE INTO A GM DEALER AND PAY THEM $90 TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. THEN SEND THEM THE PAPERWORK AND THEY WOULD DECIDE IF THEY WOULD PAY FOR ANY OF THE DIAGNOSIS OR REPAIR. I FOUND THAT OFFER TOBE INSULTING CONSIDERING THAT THEY WERE FULLY AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. IF THEY WOULD HAVE OFFERED TO PAY FOR THE DIAGNOSIS, I WOULD HAVE TRIED IT THEIR WAY. THE GM DEALER I TALKED TO SAID THAT THEY WERE UNAWARE OF ANYONE GETTING ANY CLAIM PAID PAST THE ORIGINAL WARRANTY (3 YEARS/36,000 MILES).
