Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2006 Cadillac Cts. Whenever the vehicle was driven at various speeds, the contact would hear a grinding noise. She took the vehicle to the dealer and was informed that the rear axles needed to be replaced. The mechanic only repaired the rear differential. She returned to the dealer and was informed that the fuel filter and the module sensor center needed to be repaired. The vehicle is currently at the dealer awaiting repairs. The manufacturer has not been notified. The VIN was unknown. The current mileage was 18,000 and failure mileage was 25,000.

My car started making "clunking" sounds every time placed it in drive. After doing some research on line, I came up with a recall GM was doing on my car. According to GM, there was a bad rear differential seal, and that oil may leak out. Well that's exactly what happened to my car. Not only did the differential fluid leak out but the bushing broke as will. The dealership covered the fluid leak repair (recall)...but said the busing broke because of were and tear...not because of the oil leak. They quoted me over $500 to repair when this wouldn't of happened had the seal been good in the first place!
