I have read about headlights going out in many vehicles, leaving total darkness, at all speeds causing very dangerous conditions. There have been thousands of legitimate complaints, and now GM is recalling other autos with this identical problem, Buicks etc....but not Cadillacs...why the hell not???My 2006 Cadillac has done this for years, I have complained many times, called GM......No Help....Just look up 2006 cadillac complaints and they will speak for themselves......Many...many.....dangerous to drive these gtreat autos at night....Shamful.....

Thought is was the lightbulb. Spent $150 replacing it and the same thing keeps happing. Found this out by getting stopped by the State Patrol. No dashboard indication that the light isn't working. Upon research I find this a huge problem. How many peple have been killed while going down the interstate with no warning that the lights will go out. This is a major safety issue. I can't believe there is no recall on this. How many people have to be injured or die before this problem is fixed! has Cadillac been sued yet?

The driver side light goes out. I have to shut off the lights manually and then turn them back on. It is very dangerous. On 11/24/2015, I had the car at a dealer for another issue. While I was there, 2 other people came in and discussed the same problem.

Lights go off while driving, very dangerous, no notice of any type. Very dangerous as I lived in the country and almost caused an accident, why with all the complaints and how dangerous this is has there been no recall. On top of this this is very expensive. Seem like every year Cadillac has some major problem and won't recall, making the consumer pay for there poor design.

I purchased this car in 2009, slighlty used with only 34000 miles. Shortly thereafter the headlights would flicker and go out without warning. I think this is a very dangerous situation and a recall should be issued. Both headlights are affected and is getting worse with time.

First of all I must say I LOVE Cadillac but since I've gotten this 2006 DTS is just been a problem after problem. I mean everything from head lights going out while driving, have to keep turning the switch off and on, the wheel hubs keep messing up, I've had both them fixed several times, my fuses for my lighter where my phone charger goes keeps blowing out, my car tries to overheat for no reason, it loses power while driving after slowing down then trying to accelerate again, it makes my traction symbol jump on, it jerks, my engine symbol jumps on, it starts to blink.

I don't know, what's the problem, it's a defect?

I have owned for 15 months. It started acting up right off. The right headlight will go out. Maybe for a few minutes or a few hours. I will come back on when it wants to. Sometimes shutting lights off and back on makes it work, but not always. It makes a loud sort of clicking sound or like a shutter moving inside the front fenders when going back and forth between bright and dims. Any ideas how to fix it?
