Connector under front passenger seat melted due to some sort of high current problem. From what I read on the Cadillac forum, this is an obvious design flaw. See www.cadillacforums.com/forums/Cadillac-Dts-forum-2006-through-2012/285451-heated-seats-parking-sensors-stopped-working.html#post3288711 I am concerned that this may cause a fire as the module is located directly under the front passenger seat cushion. Connector part 15326110 was replaced. This melted connector problem causes (1) heated seats to stop operating, (2) front & rear parking assist to stop operating, and (3) ac thermostat to operate unpredictably, e.g., heater will warm car up to set temperature, e.g., 72 degrees, then the ac will kick on to cool the car...not desirable on a cold winter day.

Daytime running lamp (drl) / turn signal bulb appears to have melted the headlight housing. Bulb failure caused owner to discover problem. Melted housing will no longer accept bulb fixture. This seems flawed and results in a safety issue where turn signal on front of car is inoperable without expensive replacement of entire headlight housing. New housing may not solve heating problem that causes melting. This problem, and similar consequences of excess lamp heat, is reported by other owners on the Cadillac forum.

My battery constantly goes dead, everytime it rains, snows or even gets cold. I brought a brand new battery and a brand new alternator and it still does the same thing. The air-bag message keeps coming up along with every electrical component there is on this car. I have taken it to dealerships to get diagnostics and they never find anything wrong. This is not safe for my kids to ride in please advise.

Like many other caddy owners are having problems with the twilight sensors operation. Problem being the headlamps come on too early and go off too late resulting in a dimming of the interior dash illumination. This causes the driver not to be able to determine vehicle speed...especially if its still bright enough out for sun glasses to be used. My 2007 Dts and others. See this link also www.cadillacforums.com/forums/Cadillac-forum/T-92975.html I had my car to the garage just today and they did nothing to fix this safety issue. Not going to argue with them any more.... something must be done to help us. The rental Dts I had while my car was in "repair" did not have the same problem yet they said my car twilight was "ok". thanks

9-02-2010 driving 70 miles per hour on I-75 N, 1. cruise suddenly cuts off. 2. car slows to 4-5 miles per hour. 3. speed odometer cuts off 4. all safety lights come on 5. no brakes 6. anti lock brake light is on. Very dangerous situation. Since then car has been to dealer for the same type of thing six times. After first incident dealer kept car approximately three weeks. They could not duplicate the incident. Local dealer very helpful but cannot fix. Filed complaint with Cadillac, case number [xxx], no help. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Ref.ODI number 10289768 unexplained acceleration. Upon further study I believe the problem originated in the electrical system in the engine control module ( ECM). Has a solution to this problem been presented?
