Main bearing failure on 4.3L, V-8 with 124,000 Mi. Replaced engine rather than fool around with a bearing replacement kit. All oil changes were faithfully made at 2500 mi intervals using Castrol 10/30. Engine was never overheated or abused. I still question why this failure ocurred.
