The AC and Heat come out of the defroster and lower vents. The Chevy dealer here in Chantilly, VA fixed the vacuum leaks, and a 4wd actuator switch on the front left. They claim that the bad switched allowed fluid to be drawn up into the vacuum system which caused a diaphragm under the dash to deflate, which prevents air from coming out of the front dash vents. They claim a repair would be $1200 because the dash would have to be taken out to get to the part.
Does this make sense? The problem first started with the air switching to the defrost when the truck was under acceleration, returning to the dash vents when letting off the gas.
