I ran to the store 2 miles up the road. I came back and parked it. An hour later the dog was going crazy and when i looked outside my drivers mirror was hanging 1/2 way down the door. I ran out and opened it not thinking and was overwhelmed by smoke. I disconnected the battery and about 15 mins later, went out to look again. In an hour, something caught fire and completely ruined the drivers door, the dash, the headliner and everything on it, the sunroof and windshield busted out, the front seats have melted plastic on them, and the entire vehicle is covered in soot. When insurance came out they said that with 99% certainty that the vehicle was totaled. And the real kicker is i just had a rebuilt engine, new fuel pump, gas filler neck, and brand new tires put on within the past two months!! Very upset. Very pissed.
