Blazer 4.3L
This is a design nightmare in this vehicle - I had to replace the wiper control board as water gets into the contacts and corrodes them causing a short
went to the dealer and found wires leading from the fuse box to the multiswitch broken - repaired -not tremendously costly (as repairs go) !!!
Update from May 18, 2009: Just one month later - wipers have no power again - this time dealer's tech believes there may me another broken wire closer to the relay however the estimate to ACTUALLY FIND the problem NOT including the repair cost would run between $600- 1000 !!!!!!!!!!!!!! This car has 143,000 miles on it - NO WAY will I pay that !!!!!!!!!
Instead - ran new line from an existing hot line to wipers ............ Cost was less than $175.00 - This vehicle has had a horrible history of electrical malfunctions
Will my next car be GM ???
Will GM exist by the time I buy another vehicle ???
