Oil Gauge jumps up and down from 20 to 60. Rattle in engine now. Was never a warning of low oil or engine oil malfunction. Vehicle has not been abused in my care. Oil kept clean and changed. Looking for oil sending unit which would be the normal suspect to fix the problem. It appears the motor does not have an oil pump in it. Just an oil sending unit on exterior of motor. What I hear sounds like a bearing rattling in engine on a rod. Possibly a rear main going out or rear rod bearing from sound. Doubt replacing the oil sending unit is going to fix that.
Looks like it not only did warn of low pressure or oil flow in engine but also stopped the oil flow in engine causing the high pressure oil reading. Which also caused a leak up front in line where it blew through a connection possibly. Price tag for a dealer to overhaul an engine or replace, I think most know what that costs.
