i've had no issues but i am the second owner owner before me was a middle aged man starting as family so i sold him my taurus. he never told me it wasnt maintained. first things first it hadnt had an oil change in i'd say 20,000 miles. got that done. mind you i drove it 2 hours back home. then i went to change the plugs which were a bitch but i guess that its just my 3.4 the plugs barely even had a ground attached to them anymore. about two weeks ago it was cranking over but wasn't starting. i immediately assumed it was the fuel pump. nope. fuel filter. nope. pcv. nope. injectors. nope. vacuum leak. BINGO. i had to replace my EGR and my MAF not to mention my Idle Air control. all simple fixes but now its got a small pressure leak in the engine on top of the block. if its not one thing its another. lol. oh well at least ive got something to do on the weekend now. for everyone out ther please take care of your vehicles you never know what poor sucker is gonna buy it from you.
