We can find no rhyme or reason as to why the ABS light comes on. Sometimes right after starting the car, sometimes after an hour or so. Sometimes it will go off while the car is running, and sometimes it will go off after turning the car off and starting it again. The service guy we use says that he has to have the car when the problem is happening, because the light generates no "error code."
