Intermittent non working power door locks wipers headlights and windows! there are hundreds of these incidents posted online. There looks to be thousands of dollars in repairs with no solution!

I have replaced the master switch that controls the locks and windows once already. Got a new switch and it still doesn't work. I called GM and they said that there were no recalls on my truck for that issue. I can only lock and unlock the driver's side door with the interior panel or the remote- the rest of the doors do not lock/unlock.

I noticed that when using the remove only the driver's door would lock and unlock. I go into the truck and used the panel and again only the driver's door would lock and unlock. I paid out of pocket to replace the switch inside the truck on the driver's door that controls the windows and the locking system. It worked for about 8 months and it has gone out again.

My check engine light has been coming off and on continuously for the past six months, however it was diagnosed and it wasn't a big problem. Recently, I have been able to unlock my truck using the keyless entry and when I am in the vehicle the doors will not lock with the lock/unlock button on the door. When driving, after accelerating over 20 mph, the doors use to lock themselves, but now they do not. Normally when I put my truck in park, all the doors will automatically unlock. This has not been happening. I am scared to keep anything in my truck and fear that this might cause more serious problems and expenses. I would like to know if this has been happening with other Colorado's? it seems like since I have gotten this vehicle it has been one problem after another and I am very disappointed in Chevrolet.

The consumer's 2004 Chevrolet Colorado was not equipped with a key lock on the passenger side door. If the vehicle was locked and the driver's side door was blocked, it would become impossible to get into the pick-up. There was a key entry on the tail gate which was opened at all times.

After driving home I discovered that there was no key entry available from the passenger's side, no way to get in to help someone, rescue someone, and no way to escape some by getting into the truck. No one has been hurt yet. There were no warnings about the removal of the key lock from the pasengers door on the vehicle and no notification provided by the dealer.
