I have the same complaint as #10244065. My 05 Colorado at times will not start I'll try it over and over, after about 20 minutes. It will start and run as if there were no problem. I have had the fuel pump and fuel vilter changed. No help. Now it is happening at least twice a week. No one seems to have an answer.

This vehicle got 25 mile to the gallon on the road and 20 in town but since the PCM went out it gets about 18 on the road and 13 in town. They hook it up to a computer and it says everything is fine but that doesn't explain the poor fuel performance and Chevy will not do anything to correct since the computer says it runs fine.

: the contact stated while driving 30 mph on a rural road, the contact smelled gas and noticed there were flames between the cab and the bed. The fire department was called and determined the fire originated underneath the cab of the vehicle where the fuel filter was located. The vehicle was towed to the dealership where the dealership contacted the manufacturer. The manufacturer sent an independent inspector to inspect the vehicle and determined the problem was a defective fuel filter.

2005 Chevrolet Colorado 2wd pickup with 3.5 litre engine and manual transmission. Regular cab. This vehicle is poorly designed and supported. There has been a hesitation and backfire since it was new in May 2005. Numerous attempts to have GM fix it have met with stoney indifference and total non suport of their (GM) suposed warrranty. It also has a foot operated parking brake and this on a manual transmissioned vehicle is in my opinion an accident waiting to happen.

I have owned my 2005 Chevrolet Colorado 4 door 4X4 since Nov. 2004 I have had tires that puckered, 3 radios installed, blower motor switch replaced 1 time and is now out again, a leak in the fire wall that has been in 2 times to be fixed and still leaks in hard rains, a defective brake light switch. And the worst gas mileage of any vehicle I have owned in the past 30 years. My 71 Monte Carlo with a 400 big block and 3:73 rear end gears got better gas mileage. Chevrolet said to wait till it had about 10,000 miles well it has 52,000 and still can't get past 16.5 mpg. And only 11 if towing anything. The radio has been fixed and the brake switch replaced I still have leaking fire wall and very poor gas mileage. I drive a nice straight shot 71 miles one way with only 2 stop signs between start and finish of my drive each day for a total of 140 miles of pure open interstate driving in a rural area! shame on you Chevrolet!

Purchased new 2005 Colorado. Terrible gas mileage. Took into dealer and was told to allow engine time to break in. Also, the dealer also mentioned by accident that they have had several complaints about this. The truck now has 3000 miles and still getting 12 mile per gallon. I was also told to try different gas stations fuels. Still nothing has changed. I do not have a heavy foot nor do I have the cash needed to keep filling my tank.
