I was driving home on a busy highway after work when someone pulled up next to me and said my brake lights weren't working. I brought it to the dealership, and they said that there was a faulty brake lamp switch, so they replaced it, and fixed the problem. In addition, my ABS light repeatedly came on for no apparent reason. Luckily there were no accidents from this failure.

I was driving and someone told me that my brake lights were not working, I got home and checked all the bulbs and fuses, they were all ok. Then searching in the internet at a Chevy Colorado site, I found out that there is a problem with the brake light switch. I had notice that the cruise control has not been working for at least 3 months, I had taken the truck in for a check up since, but I see that they failed to notice that the brake lights are not working.

My brake light switch failed. No telling how many days I was driving around like this. I don't use cruise control so I didn't notice anything wrong like other people mentioned. West side Chevrolet in katy, tx did the repairs. Not sure of the exact date though. The bad thing is that I drive in stop and go traffic to and from work. There was no way for me to know they were not working other than someone on the highway yelling at me that my brake lights are not working! how am I to tell in the future that they are not working" maybe next time I will get rear ended??":-0.
