The contact owned a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze. While driving approximately 20 mph, another vehicle failed to stop at a red light and crashed into the driver's side of the contact's vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. There was no warning indicator illuminated. The contact sustained injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and was totaled by the insurance company. The manufacturer and dealer were not made aware of the failure. The cause of the failure was not determined. The failure mileage was 186,000.
I got in a major accident and end up having broken bones in my face and neck and back problems because of my air bags not coming out. I was on a city street in indianapolis, Indiana downtown. This has cause I major burden on me because not being able to work and going back and fourth to different doctors appointments.
Driving home from work at 11:15pm on September 8th, nearing the toll plaza in gary, Indiana the car made a sudden sound kindve like a bang, the engine shut off, all the lights on the dash came on, I came to a stop and tried several times to start the vehicle and it would not do anything. Every time I tuned the key to the off position and then turned it to accessory, the dash displays service air bag and service power steering. The windows, door locks, truck release will not work. I had to call my insurance company and set up a tow to get the car back home. I had to be at work at 7am that day, I worked 16 hours, and didn't get home till 1:30am on September 9th. The car is in my driveway, it will not start or even turn over.
Takata recall for airbags on a 2014 Chevy Cruze. Air bag failed to finish deployment after being triggered. I passed out from shock directly after impact and woke up hung over my seat belt with the steering wheel smoking and spitting soot all over the dash. There was also a sign that displayed on the speedometer recommending an airbag service. After police arrived, it was obvious to them that the airbag had made an attempt to deploy but failed to even pop out of the steering wheel.
Car was stolen left front end was damage. Paid 2500 for repair. Pick up car 07/27/2018. The was in the shop 03/2018. They the car back to me no air bags. No front for cover on the sterring wheel. They want to pay another $279 for air bags. Now their a sound coming from under the car. I just don't have extra money insurance did pay off because I was not driving the car. The car do drive the same it keep cutting off. The speed is 20 to 40 it wontt go any higher and the engine is not shutting off. The is trying to zoom fast on its on. Iam really scare.

2014 Chevrolet Cruze. Consumer writes in regards to air bags being deployed while driving vehicle without impact. The consumer stated the manufacturer refused to offer any assistance. The manufacturer would not provide any information collected from the vehicle investigation.
I was involved in a rear-end collision pushing me into another vehicle on 06-06-18. The headliner and drivers seat began to smoke, filling the car. The smoke was white, grey, and smelled of sulphur. In addition, the "service airbag" light appeared on the information display, the flashers/hazards, came on automatically, and the car would not start and had to be towed. The vehicle was slowing, almost to a stop before being hit. Ohio highway patrol accident # 67-0834-67 5 vehicles involved. Unable to upload.
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze. While entering vehicle, the side air bags deployed without impact or warning. There were no injuries. The vehicle was taken to gilchrist Chevrolet Buick GMC Tacoma (6014 S Tacoma way, Tacoma, wa 98409, (253) 777-3085) and was informed that the air bags needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 29,000.
A warning light came on for the airbag randomly. It evolved to the following issues: Radio control panel going out with no volume control besides the steering wheel, static on the radio, a warning that park assist needed to be serviced (vehicle does not have park assist), headlights would not turn off upon the vehicle being turned off. The "solution" as there were so many errors that randomly started popping up (mind you, my car was serviced less than a month ago) is a $1500 change of a sensor or unplug the backup camera permanently. This clearly is a manufacturer defect, as why all of a sudden would the car suddenly think I have features that I don't even have on the car.

October 12 2016 my Chevy Cruze was hit by a peterbilt 375 dump truck in two place the driver side rear wheel and driver and passeger door speed was just over 20 mile per hour increasing because the mack truck bulldoze me up the road my airbags did not deploy and my seat belt did not tighten up. I complained in 2015 August about the fuel injection not allowing the car to accelerate when I suppress the gas pedal to the floor my car just did not move for about 5 seconds then surged violently. Wentworth Chevrolet and GM customer care center conducted a product safety check on my anti locking/airbags/ and fuel injection releasing the car 15 days later stating the vehicle had not problem then 10/12/2016 happened. I believe GM and wentworth allowed a compromised and broken vehicle back out on the road endangering my life acting with reckless negligence and complete lack of ownership and responsibility.
My vehicle was totaled in an accident in which the drivers airbag did not deploy. Due to the fact that my son (the driver) who recently returned from the military was not in my insurance policy they refuse coverage. 2 weeks after the incident I received a letter from Chevrolet informing me about a recall on my vehicle pertaining to the reason of the accident.I filed a claim with Chevrolet, filed a claim with GM motors. Till this day I have called and left messages and they won't respond to my calls.
Had I head on crash and the air ages did not deploy at all ?? I have necklace and back pain was in the hospital for 19 hours. And need to get my basic fixed I hit my head as well. But if the air bags worked I think that it would not have been as bad.I was moving about 35 mph and he was about 4O to 45 mph and he turn into me.
Local Chevy service center told me this morning that there are no current recalls on our car, however the automated phones at central customer service said there was an open issue and to call back during normal business hours. This was a cincinnati city intersection accident both cars in motion at 20-30 mph traveling at 90 degrees to each other. Our 2014 silver Chevy Cruze was struck on driver's side left front quarter panel (engine compartment) hard enough to snap the left front axel and spin the car around. Waiting to hear from insurance adjustor whether our car is totaled. Zero airbags deployed in our Chevy Cruze! son who was driving has bruises to both knees, left shoulder, and a knot on the left side of his head. The other Chevy Cruze had front end damage and all airbags deployed.

The vehicle was coasted back onto the street and parked. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was not filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who indicated that the driver side floormat caused the failure. The contact noticed that the pedal was plastic and randomly detached, which was not associated with the floormat. The dealer replaced the accelerator pedal. The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 55 mph, another vehicle crashed head on to the vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. The contact sustained a sprained left wrist, sprained finger, a fractured left collar bone and sprained right ankle injuries that required medical attention. The driver in the other vehicle sustained a fractured skull, fractured jaw, fractured collar bone, fractured ribs and punctured lung injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was towed to a impound lot. The contact was unaware if the vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 48,000. The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that while driving at 50 mph, the vehicle skidded on ice and crashed into a utility pole, a cable box and a flag pole. The air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed and there were no injuries sustained. The vehicle was towed and deemed destroyed. The approximate failure mileage was 5,700.
Daughter was involved in an accident on highway. Vehicle in front of her used no turn signal or brakes. Daughter ran into the back. Damage to Cruze was minimal but airbag did not deflate. Only message center stating that airbag needs to be services as soon as possible. Airbag warning. Driver seat belt also jammed and will not unhook after accident.
