My Nox shakes when I apply the brakes, and I'm not talking about a wee quiver........it SHAKES, even my steering wheel shakes when braking. It's not all the time though, it's hit or miss. I've taken it to many mechanics, Including Chevy, and the problem never gets fixed. Ive been assured by 3 different mechanics that my brakes look great, and it's not that, but what other reason could it be (it only shakes when I apply the brakes).

This doesn't feel safe at all, yet nobody can seem to to fix this problem.

This is my first and last Equinox, actually my last Chevy period.

I BOUGHT MY 2005 CHEVY EQUINOX USED AND HAD NO IDEA ABOUT ALL OF THE PROBLEMS THAT THEY HAVE. I OWNED ANOTHER EQUINOX (THAT WAS THE SAME YEAR AND IT HAD IDENTICAL PROBLEMS. I THOUGHT THAT THE FIRST ONE JUST HAD THESE PROBLEMS JUST BECAUSE. IT WASN'T UNTIL WE PURCHASED THE SECOND ONE THAT I DISCOVERED QUITE A FEW POSSIBLE MANUFACTURERS DEFECTS. I CANT BELIEVE HOW MANY PEOPLE THAT OWN THESE VEHICLES HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS THAT WE ARE HAVING. THE FIRST ONE WE OWNED AS WELL AS THE ONE THAT WE NOW HAVE BOTH HAVE THIS ISSUE WHERE WHILE YOU ARE STOPPING THE WHOLE CAR PULSATES LIKE THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE ROTORS. I HAD THE BREAKS REPLACED COMPLETELY ON THE OLD ONE AND IT WHILE IT DID GET SLIGHTLY BETTER IT STILL DID IT. NOW THIS TRUCK IS DOING THE SAME THING ONLY WORSE. YOU DONT EVEN HAVE TO MAKE A RUSHED STOP FOR IT TO DO IT. I MEAN YOU CAN JUST BE SLOWING DOWN TO MAKE A STOP AND THE WHOLE CAR FEELS LIKE IT IS GOING TO FALL APART. IT IS ABSOLUTELY REDICULOUS. NOT TO MENTION THAT BOTH OF THE EQUINOXS THAT WE HAVE OWNED BOTH HAVE THIS STARTING ISSUE. THE STARTER JUST SOUNDS LIKE IT IS WINDING OUT AND IT WONT START AND OFTEN TIMES YOU CAN SMELL GAS AFTER IT DOES THIS. WE HAD THE STARTER REPLACE ONE DAY AFTER THE CAR LEFT US STRANDED WITH OUT FOUR YEAR OLD SON IN TOW, AND IT STILL DOES IT FROM TIME TO TIME. ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEAS WHAT THIS COULD BE? I DEFINITELY SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO THE HUBBY WHEN HE SAID IT WASN'T A GOOD IDEA TO GET ANOTHER ONE OF THESE VEHICLES. DUMB ME!! I JUST THOUGHT THAT THIS WAS AN ISOLATED PROBLEM OR SHOULD I SAY PROBLEMS WITH THE FIRST VEHICLE. SHOULD I ADD THE FACT THAT THE REASON WE DONT HAVE THE FIRST EQUINOX IS DUE TO A HORRIBLE WRECK IN WHICH THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY ROLLED AND HAD A PRETTY BAD SIDE IMPACT WITH NO RELEASE OF THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAGS. TELL ME THAT ISNT INSANE. I CALLED CORPORATE ABOUT THAT ONE BECAUSE I WAS PRETTY UPSET AT THE FACT THAT I HAD A FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY IN THE VEHICLE, AND SHE TOLD ME THAT THE IMPACT WASN'T SUBSTANTIAL ENOUGH TO SET OFF THE AIRBAGS. TELL ME WHAT IS NOT SUBSTANTIAL ENOUGH ABOUT A 50 MPH CRASH THAT RESULTED IN THE TRUCK ROLLING TWICE, ON ITS SIDE NOT TO MENTION, WITH A PRETTY SEVERE BLOW TO THE SIDE. SHAME ON CHEVROLET. LIKE A ROCK MY ASS!!!!!
