The end of September 2015, once it started getting chilly...I turned my heater on but only cold air came out. I took it to my mechanic and he thought it was the Heater Blender Door. He suggested that I take the car to a Chevy dealership..which I did. They suggested all I needed was a coolant flush. They kept my car for 2 days doing a flush then told me it was ready. I pick up my car and 15 minutes later...no heat. I took it back. They then told me give them a week to diagnose it.

They called and said they need to tear my car apart and needed a $500 deposit. Once that was paid and they strip the car down...they said I needed a new head gasket. My warranty company approved it. That didn't fix the heating issue. Then they said it was the water pump...that didn't fix the issue. They then said it was the heater core. My warranty company sent out an investigator...which took 2 weeks. The warranty company decided to pay the claim. Again...that didn't fix the heating issue. Now I am steaming. I feel like Chapman Chevrolet is taking advantage or they just don't know squat about Chevy's.

The dealership then called in a GM specialist to come out and diagnose the truck. That took about another week and a half. The GM dealership stated the problem was a faulty engine. The dealership put a claim in to my warranty company who sent out another investigator. At this point my warranty company became very suspicious and they threatened to not pay any of the previous claims they told the dealership they would pay. Finally the warranty company decided to pay a little more than half for the new engine. I am sure this isn't the end.

After 4 months of this dealership having my vehicle....I am beyond fed up. Paying a car note for a vehicle I can't even drive. They even had me come in and try to finance a car through them...instead of fixing my Equinox. I will never go to this dealership again...EVER!! In terms of a loaner or rental...the dealer and my warranty company paid for a rental for about a month. For the last 3 months I've been paying out of pocket and catching Uber everywhere I need to go. This is a NIGHTMARE

If Chevy knows the temperature door breaks then they should offer a recall.

My heater has been blowing cold air for the past 2 months. It seems like a ongoing problem. I will be telling my family and friends not to by a chevy.

Same as the rest of you poor saps who purchased this piece of junk. The little plastic thing-a-ma-jig failed causing me and my kids to freeze. I got a quote of $1,500 to repair. I have been a loyal GM customer for the last 10 years and purchased 5 cars/SUVs, but since GM is not showing me any loyalty by recalling this vehicle, I will NEVER buy a GM product again.
