Chevy has a problem with the alarm system. The owners manual specifically states either the key or the remote will disable the alarm system . However, if you unlock the doors with the key, the alarm goes off. You have to start the car to stop the alarm. Dealer states that 'that's how it is supposed to work' . BS, that makes no sense at all . Besides , why does the manual say otherwise? They simply won't admit it is a design flaw. What other (non-GM) vehicle requires you to only unlock it with the remote to avoid the alarm from going off? None ! I hate when they treat their customers like idiots.

(yes, I know Mr Chevy , some of us are idiots, but not in this case , right?)

Anyway Chevy , just admit its a flaw, and i'll be happy and on my way...
